The original Microsun Lamp was developed in the mid 1990’s by Venture Lighting, a market leading, Cleveland, Ohio based commercial lighting manufacturer. At the time, they realized there was a need for bright, high-output lighting at the consumer level for homes, offices, and hobbyists – and their newest technology was ideal for this application. As a result, Venture’s product managers and engineers developed and patented the Microsun Lamp.

In 2014, Microsun was relocated to Dayton, Ohio under new ownership. The new owners reinvigorated the product line to include proprietary high output LED reading and task lamps, accessory lighting, bulbs, shades and “build your own” Microsun kits – introducing Microsun to households across the nation.

Our flagship Microsun lamps are assembled by hand in our Dayton factory using premium components sourced both domestically and internationally.
